You can mix oil with alcohol and burn in an alcohol stove. The ratio that he uses appears to be 1:1, or  100% alcohol. You can use water to raise the level of alcohol so that it can burn instead of shortening the can.

Masak Lemak Labu Merah (Pumpkin)

Labu Merah Masak Lemak is my favourite food. It is best to cook it with salted fish. If no salted fish, dried prawn is a good alternative. The dried prawn is best crushed or ground. No need to crush salted fish. The pumpkin is best cooked until it is soft and some portion of the pumpkin mixing with the gravy. The gravy tastes better if it contains pumpkin flesh. Milk is a good substitute because it is readily available. It tastes delicious also. Just use crushed red unions and ginger. No need to use garlic.
